This initiative marks a significant milestone as 247 Gospel Vibes celebrates its 10th anniversary this October 2024.
The Gospel Music Business Masterclass emphasizes the critical need for Christian and gospel artists to equip themselves with the knowledge and skills necessary to build sustainable music careers. With successful events in Lagos and Abeokuta, the masterclass is set to continue in five states, covering a total of seven locations, including the upcoming Ibadan edition.
“Knowledge is power, and in the gospel music industry, it’s the key to sustainability and impact,” said Prince Oluwatosin Odumosu, host and founder of 247 Gospel Vibes. “Our goal with this masterclass is to provide artists with the tools they need to navigate the complexities of the music business while staying true to their message.”
Speaking about the success of the Lagos editions of the masterclass, the event featured a stellar lineup of speakers, including Daniel Friday Okodi, a PR expert and digital marketer; HRM Israel Fabz, CEO of GospelXperience; and Amachree Superstar, a label executive and music business consultant. These experts shared practical insights on PR strategies, digital marketing, industry trends, contract negotiations, and media relations.
Daniel Friday Okodi highlighted the importance of a robust digital presence, explaining how artists can leverage social media to enhance their visibility and engagement. HRM Israel Fabz discussed current trends in gospel music and the importance of community engagement. Amachree Superstar provided invaluable advice on navigating label contracts and promoting music independently.
Participants are allowed to engage in interactive Q&A sessions, where they can ask pressing questions and receive personalized advice from the experts. The events also include networking sessions, allowing artists to connect with peers, industry professionals, and potential collaborators.
“The Gospel Music Business Masterclass is not just about imparting knowledge; it’s about building a supportive community,” said Prince Oluwatosin. “We want artists to leave feeling empowered, inspired, and connected.”
The success of the Lagos and Abeokuta editions marks the beginning of a series of initiatives aimed at supporting gospel artists. Gospel Vibes and LaunchPad Africa are committed to providing ongoing education and resources for the gospel music community.
“This masterclass is just the beginning,” said Prince Oluwatosin. “We envision a future where Christian creatives have the support, knowledge, and resources they need to thrive and make a meaningful impact with their music.” This further reinforces our commitment to elevate, amplify and inspire a generation and more.
