[Music] AkuGod Drops New Single “Obinigwe

Born Stephen Ejike Oriaku, AkuGod hails from Imo State but was born in Kano and raised in a Christian home as one of five siblings. From a young age, he has been a passionate lover of God and a firm believer in using music as a channel to inspire, uplift, and heal.

“Obinigwe is more than just a song. It’s a reflection of my personal relationship with God — a testimony of His grace and greatness in my life,” said AkuGod. “It’s a sound that connects spirit to Spirit, and I hope it becomes an anthem of hope for many.”

AkuGod’s journey into music began during his early teens in secondary school, where he formed a group called MEC Rhymes with friends Marcus and Christopher. Over the years, his musical influences evolved, but one thing remained constant — his love for soulful, inspiring music that speaks to the heart and spirit.

A graduate of Imo State University, Owerri and a Master degree holder in business administration and creative arts (University Of South Wales) United Kingdom – AkuGodcontinues to grow as a unique voice in the Nigerian gospel scene, combining his deep-rooted spirituality with creative storytelling and melodic excellence. His message is clear: to be a new breed, a role model, and an inspiration to many through his music.
